I just want to express how much knowledge I have gained from you from the barbering program. I’m so glad I was able to learn under someone so proficient in this craft. It has served me very well throughout my years. As head of the barbering program, you made the information understandable and structured. You were also patient with each of us students. This made learning easy to retain.

I also want to thank you for always being available for any questions I have had, even after graduation. I highly recommend anybody that is looking to get into the barber profession to learn under you and your team. Thank you Dave!

I became a student of David Jurcic in 2010 after deciding on a career change. The level of professionalism in his instruction not only made me into a confident barber, but also showed how to elevate the quality of my business beyond the average barbershop. The skills that I have acquired from Dave helped me flourish as a barber and a business owner over the years. He has continued to be an important resource and I’m very thankful to have had him as a teacher and mentor.

I attended Tri-State Business Institute during the year 2009 til 2010. I was lucky enough to have, not only an amazing barber teacher, but also an amazing role model. Dave is very patient and has many different techniques to show us. He is down to earth and very easy to get along with. Anyone who wants to be a barber would be lucky to have Dave as your teacher. He has helped mold me into a better version of myself. Pay attention I’m sure you all will learn a lot from him! I’m very grateful to have met him and to have been taught by him. I have been cutting hair ever since I graduated and I have been doing great for myself.

For a very long time I was unhappy at my regular 9 to 5 corporate job and didn't know what to do. I had a passion for barbering and decided to go to school in the evenings while I was still working. I cut hair my whole life, but I needed my license to take it to the next level.

It was then that I met Dave and he was my teacher for the night class at the Barber School of Pittsburgh. Dave is a wonderful teacher, passionate at the art of barbering, and very helpful to students at all levels.

I am a firm believer in "if you are passionate about it, success will come". God gives everyone talents...with hard work, you can elevate those talents into something amazing. A pair of clippers has allowed me to do things, meet people, and go places I never thought possible.

I first met Dave in 2004 at his barbershop in Johnstown when I worked for a beauty supply company. I was immediately impressed with how professional and knowledgeable he was at his craft! We instantly hit it off and we worked together for 6 years! He taught many classes for me and my clients while he worked with American Crew, and helped so many barbers and cosmetologists with the fundamentals of cutting men’s hair! He inspired me to want to have my own barbershop and in 2010 he helped me get my barber license when I reunited with him at the Barber School of Pittsburgh! He taught me so much and I am so grateful we have met and become friends! Dave is very kind, talented, hard-working, and creative and I highly recommend him on his newest venture at his Barber School.

When I decided to go to Barber School I was starting a new career. I not only got my career in barbering, I met a true friend in Dave. He taught me theory and practical skills of barbering. He made it enjoyable and worth wild every class to get me prepared to become a barber.

I graduated Barber School in 2011. Today, I own my own barbershop. Dave has come to visit me periodically. He has never forgotten about his students over the years. He is willing to help out any way he can. If you decide to go on the journey to become a barber, Dave will be behind you every step of the way.
