The Barber Program at L&D Academy offers students traditional training in the tonsorial arts as well as contemporary training in a multicultural environment. The Barber Program will prepare you to successfully pass the State board licensure examination. You will gain the necessary skills to work in all areas of the barber profession, including the cosmetology sector. Our school’s unique concept will train you to fully understand and grasp the complexities of all ethnic hair types.  The skills and understanding you will gain working with all types of hair will increase your earning potential.

You will perfect your practical skills on the clinic floor practicing on diverse clients. You will get ample practical instruction on mannequins in the classroom. Our classroom theory instruction will provide you with the knowledge, comprehension, and history of the art of barbering insuring complete understanding in all areas of the barber program.
